Introducing Our Newest Design Team Member

Kathy Tanner - Stamping Still

A few weeks ago we put out a call for a new Design Team Member and that position was very capably filled by Nikki Spencer. However, you wouldn't have realised at the time that the vote for our newest JAI girl was incredibly close and Kathy had just missed out 'by a whisker'.

We have been very happy to have her as one of our Guest Designers for the month of April and now we 'get to keep her'.


Here's what Kathy had to say -
"I am so excited to be on the Design Team at Just Add Ink. I started scrapbooking about 10 years ago and then a couple of years later I caught the stamping and card making 'bug'. I absolutely love this craft. It is just so exciting to learn and discover new techniques, to be creative and make something beautiful and new. To be chosen for the Design Team is such a fantastic opportunity to share what I love, to hopefully help and encourage other stampers and to be part of a wonderfully talented team".

Kathy has also been chosen to join the Creative Crew at Splitcoast. You can read more about her fantastic news, HERE.

So ... that's all pretty exciting for us, but amidst all the fun of welcoming a new person to the team, we are letting Tania take a bit of a break until the 1st July and are hoping that she will re-join us when she feels all fresh and rejuvenated. LIFE can get a tad busy at times and it's good to take some time out from commitments to concentrate on other things.

JAI 65 - Just Add Mateship/Friendship for ANZAC DAY

Hi Inkers! Welcome back to Just Add Ink on this Good Friday.

Easter is celebrated around the world but Australia and New Zealand have another important holiday on Monday 25th April to commemorate ANZAC DAY.

So What is ANZAC Day all about?

ANZAC Day is a very special day in Australian and New Zealand history. ANZAC stands for the Australia New Zealand Army Corp. and it is significant because on the 25th of April 1915, both countries were involved in a difficult battle on the shores of Gallipoli.

On that fateful day our troops landed on a beach at dawn (now called ANZAC Cove) on the Turkish peninsula . They suffered a terrible defeat but our men fought with great bravery. The battle really highlighted the character traits of mateship and sacrifice. We talk about the Anzac Spirit which was born that day and use the term as a mark of great respect. Australians and New Zealanders commemorate this day with Dawn Services and Anzac Day Marches to remember those who fought and gave their lives for their country, not only in World War 1 but in all subsequent wars.

So with ANZAC Day in mind we have a special theme challenge to ... Just Add Mateship/Friendship to your paper craft project.

JAI 64 - Chocolate Wrapper Colour Combo

Hi Inkers!

If you love chocolate you're bound to be inspired by this week's challenge!

With Easter just around the corner we have a colour challenge for you ... but with a twist because you get to choose the combo.

The challenge is to make a paper craft project inspired by your favourite chocolate bar wrapper.
