JAI 117 Winners!

Hello Everyone

Yay for Thursday - it's nearly the end of the week :) I've had a very disorganised week this week - our renovations have moved into another phase - replacement of the ceilings in our entry, lounge, dining, kitchen and family room - the result of removing walls and finding that ALL of the celings were at various heights. As a result, I have 3 rooms of furniture in 1 and my kitchen has been wrapped in plastic for the last 3 days. Thank goodness for takeaway :)

Anyway, onto today's task, which is to announce this week's winner. I couldn't believe how many beautiful cards we had enter our 'Yellow' challenge this week. I thought that these colours would scare a lot of people off, but you all proved me wrong. The DT had a very HARD time narrowing down their choices as we had so many lovely entries.

Our winner for this week is Helen with this gorgeous, bright & happy creation. I just love the basket full of daisies.

JAI 117 Colour Challenge

Well I got a little flack over this colour challenge from the girls this week as it is YELLOW!....A colour I struggle to use so thought it would be a great challenge. lol...Here it is....

Such a happy colour is yellow and I am sure you will agree that the Design Team, this week, have done a wonderful job of showcasing this colour combo. I even did 3!

JAI Scrap #5 Just Add Vintage/Heritage

Happy scrapbooking weekend for all those scrapbookers out there this first weekend of May! This month's challenge is...

Just Add Vintage/Heritage

Vintage or Heritage scrapbooking is often similar but Heritage is often about family history or events. It can also have a modern twist with an old photo or be vintage in style. Vintage is a style but can be on modern events or ancestors/times gone past events. Confused? Don't worry that's normal! Most vintage/heritage LOs (layouts) are a combination of the two which is why we have said Vintage/Heritage this month! Here are some styles from the DT to inspire you.

Ruth Clarke with a Heritage LO of herself. Ruth has vintage elements in her LO with the paper she has used.

Tina Gillespie with a Heritage LO of family members. The flowers she has used and paper give a vintage look to her layout.

and mine (Delys) ...a Heritage/Vintage LO of my Grandparents. Ruffled edges/patchwork style is often a vintage style. Embossed cardstock and lacy edges complete the look.

JAI#116 - Just Add...Mother

JAI 115 Winners!

Hello Everyone

Hope you all have had a great week. Just a few things before I get to announcing this week's winner.

On a personal note, it seems that I am unable to comment on Wordpress blogs anymore. I'm not sure why, I moved my blog to Wordpress and then moved back to Blogger but lately it's been asking me to log in to comment, and then won't accept my password. I thought I could get around this by deleting my Wordpress blog, but it's still happening. So apologies. If you know now to fix it, let me know.

Secondly, could I please ask again to check that you have removed your word verification? I noticed a couple this week, and it really does make it hard to leave a comment when word verification is turned on. Most of the DT have ours set 'Moderation' so any SPAM can hopefully get caught before being added.
