Our 100th challenge has now come and gone and we had some fun with the associated blog hop and the addition of 'crowns' on our projects. This wasn't my week to design and with my son's wedding just gone I was pleased. However, I am doing this week's post because Delys has gone on a well deserved week of holidaying at her mum's holiday home...right up the northern tip of NZ...Tokerau Beach...magic place she said and I am sure she will tell us some things about it on her return. She did however put together her project for this week's challenge before leaving.

Just Add Ink Design Team Search

If your New Year's resolution this year is to join a Design Team then read on...

We are looking at adding to the Just Add Ink Design Team!
We have 3 positions available and you can find out more about it below.

Just Add Ink Design Team Submission Guidelines 2012:

All Design Team submissions must be new and not previously published or shown online.
Card Design Team (2 positions) - submit one card using your usual style and one OTP/3D.
Scrapbooking Design Team (1 position) - submit one layout and one OTP e.g. mini album/canvas/altered art etc.
All submissions must email us a short blurb about themselves and why they would like to join the team.
You can enter submissions for both Design Teams if you wish.
Send your submissions to: just-add-ink@hotmail.com. Please put JAI DT submission in your subject line and resize your photos to 600x600 or less. All photos should be labelled with your name.
Deadline for submissions is Tuesday 31st January 2012 at 11.58 pm Australian Eastern Standard Time.
Australian/ New Zealand applicants ONLY at this time as we want to keep the "downunder" feel to our challenges.
While most of us are SU demonstrators, this is not a requirement...however, a lover of SU products is welcomed.
You can be on other Design Teams but all JAI posts must only be linked to Just Add Ink, i.e. no other promotion to other DTs/stores etc. This includes any Stampin’ Up! demonstrators. No self-promotion is required from all of our Design Team members on JAI projects. We just want this to be a challenge blog without any links to any business.
Our Design Team members are required to have a blog/website and be able to comment on challenge submissions.
Design Team members will be required to submit one design each fortnight. You can submit more often but this is the basic requirement.

I hope you all have a creative and inspiring 2012 and hope you enjoy our brand new Scrapbooking Challenges.
Starting today the 1st of January we will be having a monthly scrapbooking challenge on the first Sunday of each Month.
This month you have all month to scrap a LO (Layout=scrapbook page) in any size but it must be a LO to go into an album .ie not an OTP/mini album.

A Sad Farewell..

All of us on the Just Add Ink Team are like family so its with much sadness to announce that
Bronwyn Eastley

and Tania Gould will be stepping down as Team members effective immediately.
Bronwyn and Tania have been on the Just Add Ink Design Team with Chantell and I since the start of Just Add Ink Challenges which started in January 2010 and we are incredibly sad to see them go.

Im sure you will all agree that Bronwyn and Tania have been an inspiration to us all. They are both off to new ventures so look out for more inspiration on their blogs/online soon.

Ruth Clarke
So excited she said yes!! Here's a little blurb about Ruthy..

Hi I’m Ruth Clarke, often referred to as Ruthy.

A little about me- I’m married to my hubby Brett of 26 years and together we have 5 kids - four of them are 18 upwards and our baby is 11 yrs - 2 sons, 3 daughters in alternating order. Two and a half years ago we also became grandparents to a lovely grandson. Family is a big part of my life and also photography, so capturing those precious memories, never to happen again, is a big deal - which also leads to my love of scrapbooking. I have been scrapbooking since 2002. During these years I have been involved in the business several ways - as a LSS co/owner, teacher for other stores and worked on several online store and manufacturer’s Design Teams- Australia and USA. During these years I’ve had a history of regular contributions to several of the Australian Scrapbook magazines, including Creating Keepsakes (Aussie section).For the last 2 years I have taken a break from that side of things but joined Stampin' Up! in July 2010 where I have ventured into the world of stamping and incorporating that into my scrapbooking. Ink has increasingly become more than my former treat of detailing edges of my pages/embellishments. I am honoured to be added to the team and I look forward to contributing to the challenges in particular scrapbooking but also being both inspired and learning more from those who love and contribute on Just Add Ink.

We have noticed a drop off lately in our weekly challenge entries and have been wondering why this might be the case ... is everyone as busy as we are coming up to the 'silly season', as some call it? Hello Inkers!

Well another week has gone by and isn't the year going fast! Did you know that it is only 13 weeks to Christmas! Ok, so you didn't want to know that, because like me, you are not even thinking about it yet. Hello inkers!

Well it's that time again for another weekly Just Add Ink challenge and this week it is a colour challenge that I put forward...White plus ONE other colour! Initially I had in mind using White as the base colour and just adding a touch of ONE other colour only. However, when I actually made my card for this week's challenge I found I went the other way around, using ONE colour...Always Artichoke...and adding just a touch of White.

JAI 82 - Just Add...Something from your stash!

Hi inkers

Wasn't that a great colour challenge put up by Bronwyn Eastley last week? Thanks to all those who joined in and we hope you will join in again with our new challenge for this week. What Jo Eades has challenged us to do this week is to rummage through our craft stash and find something we've had in there for ages and haven't used and put it into a new project. This challenge was put forward by Jo as a way to say farewell to items being retired from the current Stampin' Up! catalogue and allowing room for exciting new products to be released in the new catalogue, available from 1 September!

How often do you buy items with an idea in mind and put it in your craft room and then end up forgetting to use it, only finding it ages later when looking for something else. Well now it is time to find that long lost item and give it pride of place in a new craft project and share it with us all here. I dare you to go deep into that craft stash you have and find something forgotten...go on I dare you!

Happy Thursday to you all. Hope your week has been good to you. Did anyone notice if the Linky Tool closed early? If it did, please accept our apologies. Mae and I are learning the 'behind the scenes' ropes and the Linky Tool seems to operate on its own logic when it comes to setting the closing time.

I noticed that many of you found this colour combo one that you would not have normally chosen, but that's why Just Add Ink is a challenge site. *smile* Even though you felt out of your comfort zone, you all produced beautiful cards. Thank you for taking up our challenge!

A Fond Farewell to Gardenia

Recently we have had to say farewell to one of our Design Team members, Gardenia Pepworth, who has decided to step down from the team and branch out in a new direction. You can see her new venture Soleful Steps on Facebook. Here is a snapshot of some of the lovely creations that Gardenia has shared with us here on Just Add Ink...

Hi inkers!

Well life must be busy for not only many members of the Design Team but lots of our followers too, as last week we didn't receive as many entries as we often do, but those that we did receive were very inspiring and great interpretations of the sketch provided.
